Leon is a Certified Executive Compliance & Integrity Manager (ECIM) with 8 years of experience in advising banking and insurance companies in the Netherlands, Denmark and the United Kingdom. He started his career in 2014 at Deloitte Risk Advisory. In February 2022 he started his own consultancy firm Compliance Champs together with his business partner Peter Engering.
Leon has extensive knowledge of financial regulations and his primary focus is on improving integrity risk management frameworks: defining and implementing Integrity Risk Appetite Statements, facilitating and implementing Systematic Integrity Risk Analyzes (SIRA), drafting and implementing KYC policies and procedures, implementation of transaction monitoring systems, remediation of customer files and compliance monitoring investigations. He performed this work in various roles in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. He has extensive experience in managing projects and teams at his clients.
